Founded in 2012, the Academy Neighborhood Association is a local nonprofit that aims to foster strong community ties, encourage safety, support neighborhood assets, and encourage appropriate economic growth. The Academy Neighborhood Association serves the community bounded by E. 26th St., Parade St., Old French Road, E. 38th St., and State St. Community meetings are held quarterly, providing a space for residents to discuss community concerns and stay connected through neighborhood events. Highlights of the organization include the adoption of Baker Field and recognition of its founder, Isaac Baker, and the Baker Field Improvement Project. The group hosts annual clean up activities, National Night Out, as well as the the City of Erie's 814 Concert Series.
