Bike Erie is a 501(c) 3 volunteer organization who's mission is as follows:  Bike Erie leads efforts to transform our streets and communities into healthy, vibrant and accessible places for safe bicycling and active transportation for everyone.

Bike Erie advocates at various boards, committees and planning studies including the Erie County MPO, Erie's Active Transportation Plan, Erie's Safe Streets, various PennDOT studies and projects.  Helping the City successfully install bike lanes on Greengarden Boulevard, East and West 10th Street, Fairmount Parkway and French Street are some of the results. 

Bike Erie, with SSJNN, has helped created Erie's first and only Bike Coop, currently operated by the non-profit Erie Bicycle Collective located at 436 East 26th Street.  This project, along with updating our website, installing more bike racks and bicycle repair stations and continuing to be the voice of the bicycle community in and around Erie is our primary focus in the next year.
