Corry Area Radio Service

Corry Area Radio Service is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the Corry, Union City, and surrounding communities through Channel 98.9, a non-commercial community radio station. Our mission is to inform, educate, entertain, and connect the communities we serve by providing locally focused programming that reflects the people, organizations, and events that make our region unique. While many listeners assume we operate like a commercial radio station, Channel 98.9 relies on grants, underwriting, and the generous support of individuals who believe in the importance of local media.

Every day, Channel 98.9 provides local news, community information, weather updates, public service announcements, and programming that highlights local and regional musicians who might not otherwise have an opportunity to be heard on the radio. We partner with nonprofit organizations, schools, municipalities, and community groups to help share their stories, promote important events, and strengthen connections throughout our region. Our goal is simple: to be a trusted local voice and a resource our community can depend on.

Support received through Erie Gives will help us expand that mission by investing in equipment that allows us to do more than broadcast from our studio. New technology will enable more live, on-location broadcasts from community events, additional interviews with local leaders and organizations, enhanced digital content, and more opportunities to bring new voices to our airwaves. These improvements will help us tell more local stories, reach audiences wherever they are, and provide greater coverage of the events and issues that matter most to our communities.
