$3,000 Goal

Footlights Youth Theatre began in 1975 with a simple idea: create a space where people can be seen, heard, and celebrated.

More than 50 years later, that idea still leads everything we do.

What started as a free summer program for young people has grown into a community-centered arts organization where confidence is built, creativity is nurtured, and collaboration comes first.

Today, Footlights is guided by Founding Stewards KC McCloskey and Sara Little, whose work has shaped a culture rooted in trust, growth, and belonging. As we enter our next chapter as a nonprofit, that leadership continues through a collaborative model, because the way we lead should reflect what we teach.

Our Mission
Footlights empowers people through inclusive performing arts experiences that build creativity, confidence, and collaboration.

What We Do
We create accessible theatre experiences for young people while also offering space for adults to reconnect with the arts, community, and themselves.

Why It Matters
This is about more than theatre. It’s about giving people the confidence to use their voice, the skills to work together, and a place to belong, on stage and beyond.
