The mission of North Coast Brass is to provide men and women, both young and old, a fun and enriching musical performance experience. We represent and serve our community with pride and the tradition of excellence and entertainment that defines us.
North Coast Brass, from Erie Pennsylvania, enjoys a long legacy and pays tribute to the former drum and bugle
corps from Erie, including the Erie Thunderbirds, Excalibur, the Lake Erie
Regiment and the Cadets. Founded in 2014 as a parade corps, the corps quickly became
competitive in the Small Drum Corps Association (SDCA) and the Drum Corps
Associates (DCA) Mini-Corps circuits, and now into the DCI SoundSport
mini-corps circuit. Our 2025 season culminated with an outstanding score of 95.0 at the DCI Williamsport event for non-marching ensembles.
Our membership ranges from high school students to
retirees, and includes alumni of DCI and DCA corps, as well as young members
aspiring to perform in full sized DCI corps in the future. People of
talent of all ages are welcome to join North Coast Brass.
North Coast's 2026 musical repertoire includes: Michael Jackson's "Earth Song", the jazz standard "Big Noise", and the theme from "The Magnificent Seven." North Coast's directive team includes Gary & Dianne Gehrlein, Jerry Anderson, Tom Corso, Matt Chiaramonte, Sean Bartlett, Kaitlin Pisarski, and Jesse Glenn.
