North East Historical Society

The Society's mission is to promote the study of local history and the collection and preservation of historical records of the area; the preservation, maintenance, and protection of historical sites, buildings, and objects; the provision of adequate historical, educational services to any educational, charitable or scientific endeavor which will accomplish the above objectives.

The North East Historical Society is the caretaker of the NE Historical Museum located at 25 Vine Street. We are open 2 times a week and can help a visitor search for family information, location of burials in NE, information published in the local newspapers and give a tour of the museum. We also may be visited on the web and on Facebook.
