Findley Lake Community Foundation

A nonprofit organization

Safe · Livable · Beautiful

The Findley Lake Community Foundation has been a beacon of change, touching the lives of all residents and visitors through its support of vital local causes. By funding initiatives as diverse as water quality, public safety, and infrastructure enhancements, the Foundation's efforts have been central to nurturing the community's vitality.

On August 12th, Findley Lake residents will have a unique opportunity to amplify their impact in the community during the annual Erie Gives, a 24-hour period dedicated to charitable giving. Last year, in a special local twist, it's being dubbed "Findley Lake Gives on Erie Gives Day" by the Findley Lake Community Foundation, encouraging local participation in this region-wide event. This is encouraged again in 2025!

This far-reaching day of giving provides an amplified platform where every gift made to the Findley Lake Community Foundation, through the Erie Gives portal, receives Bonus Bucks, increasing the value and impact of each donation. This match is a part of the incentive to drive higher participation and to showcase the collective power of community philanthropy. In addition, this year all credit card fees are covered, so your donation means even more!

Most importantly, all gifts received by the Findley Lake Community Foundation on Erie Gives Day stay in Findley Lake.

Due to the generosity of more than 100 friends and families of the Findley Lake Community Foundation, after the 2025 pledge, more than $300,000 will have been granted throughout the years, to local community nonprofits since 1999. The Findley Lake Community Foundation partners with the Erie Community Foundation and benefits from the Foundation's investment expertise, marketing experience and administrative support.

The Findley Lake Community Foundation, named after its first settler, Alexander Findley, serves the community of Findley Lake, New York. A few years after purchasing the land in 1811, Findley built a dam at the north end of two adjoining ponds. This dam created what we now know as Findley Lake, with over five miles of breathtaking shoreline.

The passing years have generated a great sense of community pride. Today, the lake remains a source of beauty and enjoyment for both residents and visitors. All gifts to the Findley Lake Community Foundation represent a lasting investment in the hamlet of Findley Lake, its neighbors, and its community.
