Every day in Northwest Pennsylvania, families face challenges like mental health struggles, addiction, family separation, and re-entry after incarceration. Family Services of NW PA (FSNWPA) provides the support they need - from counseling and family preservation to foster care and mentoring.
As a leading nonprofit service provider, FSNWPA offers three main service cores - Counseling, Permanency, and Community Supports. We serve families in Erie, Crawford, Mercer, Venango, Warren, and McKean Counties in Pennsylvania. FSNWPA is a licensed adoption and foster care agency with accreditation by the Council on Accreditation and the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services.
FSNWPA has been serving children and families in Northwest Pennsylvania for more than 135 years. Last year, we touched the lives of more than 10,000 children and families.
Donations through Erie Gives 2026 will support vital services at Family Services of NW PA like Adoption and Foster Care Services, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and the Independent Living Program.
Here are just a few examples of how your support will help us continue to keep families together:
- $25 will help provide resources and support to prepare children and families for a successful adoption journey.
- $50 will help provide comfort items, school supplies, and personal care essentials for a child entering foster care, helping them feel safe and supported.
- $75 will help provide training materials that teach youth practical skills such as budgeting, meal planning, and job readiness.
- $100 will help fund family matching, counseling, and post-adoption services that strengthen lifelong family connections and promote stability.
- $250 will help support recruitment, training, and ongoing resources for foster families, ensuring children have stable, nurturing homes when they need them most.
- $500 will help support transportation, educational resources, and workforce development opportunities that help young adults successfully transition to adulthood.
When you invest in Family Services of NW PA, you're helping keep families together, protect children, and give parents the tools to rebuild. Your support creates stability today and stronger communities for the future.
