Saint James School - Erie

campus. We believe that joyful play is more than just recess - it’s part of God’s
design for how our children grow, learn, and connect with one another.

Studies show that children who engage in regular
physical play show improvements in focus, behavior, and academic performance. The
American Academy of Pediatrics
states that “play is essential to
development because it contributes to the cognitive, physical, social, and
emotional well-being of children.”

Playgrounds aren’t luxuries—they’re learning
environments that foster resilience, confidence, and community. Our vision is
that the new playground will be more than just a place for students to play,
but will be a place where they learn about teamwork, develop physical skills,
and build lifelong friendships. And thanks to the investment of people like
you, it will also be a place where students feel the love of our St. James
community.  

Who We Are

Saint James School is one of five schools that are part of the Erie Catholic School System. Saint James School is a Catholic school offering 3-Year-Old Preschool, Pre-K through 8th-Grade elementary and middle school education. Erie Catholic schools are communities where educators and families nurture and shape children in the Catholic faith. Our students grow spiritually and intellectually amid a welcoming culture of respect, inclusiveness and shared values rooted in the teachings of Christ.

Saint James School strives to provide an education immersed in Catholic values and morals, following the Great Commandment and the Golden Rule.
