Boy Scouts of America, French Creek Council

Mission

The mission of the French Creek Council Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

Programs and Services

The Boy Scouts of America provides educational opportunities to boys and girls from Kindergarten to age 20. Weekly and monthly meetings allow youth to learn to be tomorrow's leaders in a safe and fun environment. Programs include: Cub Scouts (Kindergarten to age 11) Scouts BSA (11-18) Venturing (High adventure co-ed program for ages 14-20 and Exploring (career based co-ed program for ages 14-20) Skills youth earn include citizenship training, character development, leadership qualities. Older youth can learn skills in lifesaving, swimming, financial management and many more areas not available in todays schools.
