Programs and Services
Child Development Centers, Inc. (CDC) provides high-quality child care and early childhood education for about 1,900 infants, toddlers, preschoolers and elementary school-age children at 15 centers in Erie, Crawford and Venango Counties, including 6 in Erie County (3 in the City of Erie, 1 in Millcreek Township, 1 in Elk City and 1 in Corry). CDC's primary focus is pre-kindergarten education, which accounts for all its Erie County enrollment, including 760 young learners who attend federal Head Start classrooms in the county. CDC in 2021 is building 2 new centers that will provide care for infants and toddlers, 1 at the site of the former Roosevelt Middle School (2300 Cranberry Street, Erie) and 1 at 10th and French Streets downtown.
