The Bradley H. Foulk Children’s Advocacy Center of Erie County, Inc. (CAC) is dedicated to the delivery of an immediate, effective, coordinated, community response to allegations of child abuse and to child abuse prevention. Our services will promote the safety and well-being of children while reducing trauma in a child-friendly environment.
Programs and Services
We provide child-friendly offices where children who are victims of abuse are interviewed by a specially trained forensic interviewer after referral by law enforcement or the Erie County Office of Children and Youth. Monthly multi-disciplinary meeting where all cases of child abuse are reviewed. Video recording of all interviews. A closed circuit television observation for investigating professionals to view the one interview. Education of the various professionals in child abuse investigation and intervention techniques.
Prevention education training to the larger community to reduce the incidence of child abuse and increase reporting. Linkages to insure the child-victims of abuse have access to medical, mental health and counseling.
