Edinboro Market, Inc. - Erie Gives

Edinboro Market is a 501c3, year-round, not-for profit, 100% local grocery store and

farm/food business incubator.  The Market supports 99 small farms, food businesses,

and local artisans while providing healthy food as the community’s only walkable

grocery store. While we sell their products, they focus on what they love to do!

Located at 211 Mill Street in Edinboro, the Market includes 1600 square feet of retail

space, a café/classroom, and Erie County’s first certified shared-use commercial

kitchen. In the retail space you can find everything from seasonal produce, to dairy,

meats, grains, fresh breads and other treats, coffee and teas, honey, maple syrup, and

much more, all made or grown within 150 miles of Edinboro. The café offers a seasonal

menu that changes monthly and highlights many of the products sold in the Market. The

café space doubles as a classroom where we offer cooking and gardening classes for

all ages, as well as business classes for new and existing food businesses.

Since 2022, we’ve partnered with the Meadville Market House in Crawford County, Core

Goods in Venango County, and two farm partners to move products between these 3

small grocery locations in adjoining counties on a weekly basis. In the second half of

2026 we’ll roll out a partnership with Herb and Honey Bakery in northwest Erie to move

fresh food into that food-insecure neighborhood.

The majority of money spent at Edinboro Market stays in the local economy through

producer payouts, wholesale purchases and payroll.

We strive to make healthy food affordable to all by supporting Edinboro’s Pay What You

Can farmers market and offering Sunday Savings on fresh produce and other items.

and ensure there are healthy food options for residents of food insecure communities.
