EHCA's mission is to assist people with disabilities to live rich and fulfilling lives. EHCA staff do this by providing or coordinating compassionate, therapeutic, and medical support to individuals while allowing them to live with purpose and dignity; opportunities/choices for individuals to grow to their full potential; services that maximize ability and participation in a variety of community settings; services/support to individuals of all ages and all levels of intellectual or developmental disability (I/DD). EHCA staffs residential and community programs and services in three counties and assists more than 500 individuals and families.
Programs and Services
Residential: EHCA operates 18 group homes in Erie & Crawford counties, serving 100 full-time residents.
MOVE (Making Opportunities for Volunteerism & Exploration): A licensed adult day program that creates opportunities for exploration through community engagement, volunteerism, & the arts.
Options: This multi-faceted program offers a variety of community-based daytime alternatives for families caring for a family member with I/DD.
PFS (Project First Step); A unique program offering multiple services to extremely high-risk pregnant women, young children, & families in need due to I/DD, mental health, & social concerns.
Life Sharing: This program matches a family with a person with I/DD in need of supervised living.
