Programs and Services
Environment Erie is dedicated to being Erie County’s one-stop-shop for environmental education and services. Environment Erie does this through K-12 and adult educational programming, convening watershed protection and revitalization efforts, and promoting overall environmental stewardship in both the public and private sectors throughout Erie County.
Environment Erie partners with numerous organizations throughout Erie County to achieve its mission. Environment Erie works with 11 of the 13 school districts in the county; annually facilitating student-led service learning projects with approximately 700-900 students and hosting two Youth Training Days and one Youth Summit, which brings 300-500 students, teachers and support staff to the Tom Ridge Environmental Center and Presque Isle State Park for environmental education.
Environment Erie is currently working with Our West Bayfront, ServErie, the Academy Neighborhood Association, Sisters of St. Joseph Neighborhood Network and the Bayfront Eastside Task Force to assist with the revitalization of their vacant lots.
