Firefighters Historical Museum

To establish a centralized collection of items of firefighting heritage as a historical and educational legacy for Erie, Pennsylvania and its citizens of tomorrow. In addition, the Firefighters Historical Museum will serve as a permanent tribute to firefighters of Erie, our country and the world, whose dedication and devotion to duty, at the risk of their own lives, is an eternal vigilant protection for the citizenry whose lives they are entrusted with.

Programs and Services

The Firefighters Historical Museum is open on the weekends from June thru October each year. Whether visitors are interested in the history of the fire service or just history in general, they will find the Museum both entertaining and educational. The Museum is located in the former Engine #4 firehouse and has a variety of items on display including uniforms, firefighting tools and early apparatus.
