First Presbyterian Church of the Covenant

A nonprofit organization

We are sincerely thankful for the countless opportunities we’ve had to connect and collaborate with our community this year, and we are excited to continue this vital work in the upcoming year! Loving God and Neighbor are at the core of the mission of our church, and we're glad to do this work together with all of you in our community. Our interfaith and ecumenical relationships with the Episcopal Church, the Roman Catholic Church, Temple Anshe Hesed, and other faith communities are invaluable to us. Your support empowers us to sustain and expand our outreach efforts and programs. Thank you for being a crucial part of this mission!

Here are some impactful ways we support our community:

- Sunday Suppers: Join us for a free weekly meal that offers both nourishment and companionship to those in need, celebrating 11 years of building community!

- Our Neighbors Place: We contribute both volunteers and funds to this essential overflow winter shelter, providing warmth and safety for our neighbors in need.

- Our West BayFit & National Night Out: We engage children and youth through a variety of enriching activities, fostering their growth and creativity.

- Free Community Concerts: Events like the Florence Price concert in partnership with Gannon University showcase Grammy-award-winning talent and raise awareness of significant historical and social issues in our community, enriching our cultural landscape.

- StudySpace: Each fall and spring, hundreds of Gannon University students benefit from our welcoming environment, which provides study space, snacks, and community support during finals.

- Free Movie Mondays at Perry Square: As the proud popcorn sponsor, we enhance this beloved community event, bringing families together for a fun night out.

- Weekly NA/AA Meetings: We provide a supportive environment for individuals seeking recovery and community.

- International Community Celebrations: We host events to honor and celebrate the diverse communities within our neighborhood.

-Downtown D’Lights: We serve over 1,000 cups of hot chocolate and coffee to all the guests who come to the light-up night at Perry Square. Additionally, we open our Sanctuary doors, inviting our neighbors to enjoy the sights and sounds of Christmas through the church’s bell choir, vocal choirs, local school choirs, creches created by Michael DeSanctis, and a live nativity featuring farm animals to pet and feed.

...and so much more! Together, we can make a lasting impact. For more information, please visit www.firstcovenanterie.org.
