Friends of the Erie County Library
Mission
The Friends of the Erie County Library is a non-profit, all volunteer organization dedicated to the advancement of the Erie County Public Library. The members of the Friends of the Erie County Library raise funds to provide classes and programs and meet other needs of the library. Without this funding, many library programs would not be possible.
Programs and Services
Children’s story times, Read to a Therapy Dog, STEAM programs, Book Clubs, Book Boxes, Enchant the Library special event, the Summer Library Challenge, Teen Advisory Board, Teen Reading Lounge, Chalk Walk, LibCon (previously Library ComicCon), Computer classes, Poetry Live!, Fiber Arts meetups, Lectures and programs on topics ranging from local history and health research to intellectual property and credit reports, Author visits/talks, NEA Big Read, WQLN Writers’ Workshops
