Hope on Horseback
Working in partnership with the community, Hope on Horseback enriches the total well-being of eligible individuals by providing an engaged connection to horses through supervised equine-assisted programs.
Our vision is to be an inclusive, sustainable organization that is the recognized leader in providing proven and innovative equine-assisted programs.
Programs and Services
Hope on Horseback (HOHB) provides therapeutic riding classes for those with developmental, cognitive and physical challenges and for those diagnosed with ASD and ADHD. We also collaborate with the Wellness for Life Program for cancer survivors, and the Crime Victim's Center of Erie County for those recovering from trauma and crime related personal issues. We provide a free riding program for veterans. HOHB also is collaborating with the Gannon University Education and Psychology Departments and the Barber Institute to develop a college course exploring the use of equine-assisted therapeutics in alternative education programs for special needs students.
