Programs and Services
Hope on Horseback offers supervised activities using horses for physically and mentally challenged individuals, at-risk youth, cancer patients, trauma victims and veterans. Classes are designed to encourage personal, social and communications skills. In addition to learning to ride, participants learn to groom, tack and lead horses which builds confidence, self-esteem, and sense of responsibility. In addition, students learn team work and gain a sense of accomplishment, pride in work, and task completion. Utilizing the horse to provide gentle exercise has proven to be effective in building core muscle strength, balance and coordination as well. Hope on Horseback offers programs for riders of all ages.
