Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM)
The mission of the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) is to prepare students to become osteopathic physicians, pharmacy practitioners, and dentists through programs of excellence in education, research, clinical care, and community service to enhance the quality of life through improved health for all humanity. The professional programs are dedicated to serve all students through innovative curriculum and the development of postdoctoral education and interprofessional experiences.
Programs and Services
LECOM is largest medical school in the country. Enrollment in the College of Osteopathic Medicine, School of Pharmacy, School of Dental Medicine, School of Health Services Administration and School of Graduate Studies has surpassed 4,200 students at campuses in Erie and Greensburg, Pennsylvania, Bradenton, Florida, and Elmira, New York. LECOM consistently graduates more primary care physicians than any other U.S. medical college while maintaining one of the lowest tuitions of any private medical school in the country. Today more than 12,000 LECOM alumni are providing health care to patients across the U.S.
