Performing Artists Collective Alliance (PACA)
PACA - Erie's Performing Artists' Collective Alliance - is an uncommon non-profit. Our mission is to create a self-sustaining arts and education-based public entity in our community. PACA is a unique hybrid that not only supports the entrepreneurial efforts of emerging artists, but also produces award-winning theatre and is revitalizing an historic downtown property, bringing labor and tourism dollars into the heart of the city.
Programs and Services
PACA's home in downtown Erie, houses 35 artist-entrepreneurs, including photographers, craftsmen, and musicians of all types who lease studio space at below-market rates and use PACA’s resources as an entry point to entrepreneurism. PACA’s theatre and live performance schedule is full of the new, experimental, and sometimes controversial, featuring theatrical performances meant to create conversation in the community about social justice issues. PACA is also dedicated to the care of the Meyer Building in downtown Erie – built in 1899 and newly listed on the National Register of Historic Places – by developing public and private art spaces, performance venues, and retail opportunities.
