Presque Isle Audubon Society
Our mission is to conserve and restore natural ecosystems, focusing on birds, other wildlife, and their habitats for the enjoyment and benefit of humanity and the earth's biological diversity in northwestern Pennsylvania.
Programs and Services
Presque Isle Audubon is a chapter of National Audubon that was established in 1961. We offer monthly nature-based educational programs, field trips open and free to the general public, and programs for schools and other organizations.
Presque Isle Audubon also owns and maintains the 55-acre Laura Olsen Memorial Sanctuary in Crawford County, the 33-acre Fern Wood Sanctuary near Fairview PA, and is co-owner (with the Botanical Society of Western Pennsylvania) of the 80-acre Titus Bog Sanctuary in Erie County. We also with the Audubon Community Nature Center in Jamestown, NY, Buffalo Audubon Society, and The Burroughs Audubon Nature Club, PIA hosts the annual Allegany Pilgrimage at Allegany State Park.
