Inter-church Ministries created the Voucher program in 1972 to assist those in need in our community.  I.C.M’s Voucher System for Emergency Assistance (V.S.E.A) is a community program which extends limited funds to individuals or families faced with emergency needs on a one-time basis. General assistance is offered for grocery, gasoline and public transportation. The V.S.E.A can also serve as a fiduciary conduit for church funds to support the larger needs which families are facing such as housing, utilities, and medical hardships. As the name indicates, it is a voucher system which eliminates monetary transactions between client and I.C.M, leaving all transactions between I.C.M and approved vendors. Last November , when the government shut down, clients receiving Snap benefits were affected. Through our generous donors, I.C.M was able to assist 400 families in Erie county. The need has not slowed. In fact it is deepening. I invite you to partner with I.C.M through a donation. Every gift - no matter the amount -provides nourishment , dignity, and hope to families struggling to feed their children and keep their homes steady.

Peace be with you.
