Founded in 1988 and inspired by Catholic Social Teaching, the Center for Social Concerns (CSC) equips students and campus colleagues to engage with Gannon communities, both local and global, through purposeful service, exploration, and action for the common good. Our programming includes local service and community engagement opportunities, advocacy and awareness building, small group service and cultural immersion programs.

Through these programs, students come to know the gift of humbly serving, learning and listening to our neighbors, and are challenged to reflect on these experiences and broaden their worldview. The CSC approaches our partnerships through a thoughtful, respectful process that seeks mutually beneficial outcomes for sustainable and impactful service and cultural learning.

By making a gift to the Center for Social Concerns, you will provide enhanced resources for things such as:

  • T-Shirts for Gannon's annual GIVE Day
  • Gloves and trash bags for community clean up during Day of Caring and GIVE Day
  • Student transportation throughout the community to perform service projects
  • Supplies to host on-campus advocacy and community awareness events
  • Student leader retreats
  • Scholarships to help offset ABST trips for students struggling to make ends meet
  • Cultural immersion experiences for Gannon students
  • Transportation to and from service trips
  • Supplies necessary to keepstudentssafe and health
