Founded in 2012, the Academy Neighborhood Association (ANA) is a volunteer-driven nonprofit dedicated to strengthening one of Erie's most historic neighborhoods. We believe that thriving neighborhoods are built through connection, collaboration, and neighbors who care about one another.
Serving the area bounded by East 26th Street, Parade Street, Old French Road, East 38th Street, and State Street, ANA works to create a welcoming, safe, and vibrant community where residents, families, businesses, and local organizations come together to improve the quality of life for everyone.
Inspired by the vision of community leaders like Isaac Baker, whose legacy lives on through Baker Field, the Association continues to invest in projects that preserve the neighborhood's history while building a stronger future.
Building Community Together
Our work is powered almost entirely by volunteers and community partnerships. Throughout the year, we organize programs and events that bring neighbors together, encourage civic pride, and create opportunities for residents of all ages to connect.
Our initiatives include:
🌳 Neighborhood beautification and community clean-up projects
🏡 Housing improvement and neighborhood revitalization efforts
🛠️ A community tool lending library for home improvement projects
🎉 Family-friendly events including National Night Out and neighborhood celebrations
