12 Hours of Giving
Day and Time: The event takes place on August 13. You have 12 hours to make your donation between the hours of 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. EST.
Participating Nonprofits: Only organizations that are members of The Nonprofit Partnership and have an agency fund with The Erie Community Foundation are eligible. Click here for the entire participant list. We anticipate new members before August 13., please check back for updates.
Gift Amount: The minimum gift is $25. There is no limit to the amount of money you may give. You can give up to 10 nonprofits per transaction.
Credit Cards: Only Visa, MasterCard and Discover will be accepted. The credit card processor charges a nominal fee per transaction. The Erie Community Foundation does not receive any fees. (Sorry credit card gift cards will not be accepted.)
Prorated Match: The Erie Community Foundation will enhance each donor’s gift by providing a prorated match to each gift made to a nonprofit. The Foundation will divide a total of $150,000 ($100,000 provided by The Erie Community Foundation plus an additional $50,000 provided by GE Transportation) among the participating nonprofits. The more a nonprofit raises the more of the $150,000 the nonprofit will receive.
Your Receipt: You will receive an email receipt of your gift; please retain it for tax purposes. Unless you choose to remain anonymous, your donor information will be sent to the appropriate organizations.
When the Nonprofits receive your donation: The organizations will receive your donation plus The Erie Community Foundation’s prorated match within two to four weeks of Erie Gives.
