How Your Donation Will Make a Difference

Your Support Saves Lives

Every donation to Crescent Hose Company's Erie Gives campaign directly supports the purchase of equipment that protects both our responders and the community they serve. These investments mean safer firefighters, better-equipped EMS providers, faster emergency response, and improved patient care when every second counts.

Because we are a volunteer organization, community support is essential. Together, we can ensure our firefighters and EMS professionals have the tools they need to continue serving North East with the highest level of care, compassion, and professionalism. Thank you for helping us answer the call.

Neo-Mates (2)

Neo-Mates are specialized infant transport and immobilization devices designed to safely secure newborns and infants during emergency ambulance transport. Infants require different protection than adults or older children, and these devices help prevent injury while allowing EMS personnel to provide critical care en route to the hospital. Having two Neo-Mates available ensures we are prepared to care for our youngest and most vulnerable patients whenever the need arises.

Glucagon Nasal Devices

Severe hypoglycemia (dangerously low blood sugar) is a life-threatening medical emergency that can cause seizures, unconsciousness, or even death if not treated quickly. Glucagon nasal devices provide a fast, needle-free method of raising a patient's blood sugar when they are unable to safely swallow. This medication allows EMS providers to begin lifesaving treatment immediately, improving outcomes and potentially preventing permanent injury while transporting patients to definitive medical care.

AutoPulse Bands

The AutoPulse is an automated chest compression system used during cardiac arrest. The bands used with the device provide consistent, uninterrupted, high-quality CPR that is difficult to maintain manually during long transports or while moving patients. Reliable chest compressions help improve circulation to the heart and brain, increasing the likelihood of survival while allowing EMS providers to focus on other critical lifesaving interventions.

SEEK Thermal Imaging Cameras

Smoke-filled buildings can make it nearly impossible for firefighters to see victims, hidden fire, or dangerous hot spots. SEEK thermal imaging cameras use heat signatures to allow firefighters to "see" through smoke, helping them locate trapped occupants faster, identify hidden fire extension, and improve firefighter safety. These cameras can reduce search times, limit property damage, and ultimately save lives during structure fires.

Nomex Protective Hoods

While firefighters wear extensive protective gear, the ears, neck, jaw, and portions of the face remain among the most vulnerable areas during a fire. Nomex hoods provide an additional layer of thermal protection against extreme heat and flames while helping reduce exposure to harmful carcinogens found in smoke. Investing in updated protective hoods helps safeguard the long-term health and safety of the volunteers who protect our community. Protect our firefighters while they are protecting you and your property by buying them a Nomex Particulate / Cancer-Blocking Hood!

Structural and Extrication Gloves

Firefighters perform many different types of emergency responses, from battling house fires to rescuing victims trapped in vehicles after serious crashes. Structural firefighting gloves provide protection from extreme heat while maintaining dexterity during fire suppression operations. Extrication gloves are designed to protect against sharp metal, broken glass, and other hazards encountered during vehicle rescue. Having the appropriate gloves for each type of emergency helps reduce injuries while allowing responders to work safely and effectively.
