The Lake Canadohta Historical Society is dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich history of the Canadohta Lake region for future generations. Through the Lake Canadohta History Center, educational programs, exhibits, archives, community events, and volunteer efforts, we connect people with the stories, photographs, artifacts, and traditions that define our community. Every donation helps us preserve our local heritage, expand educational opportunities, care for our historic collections, and ensure that the history of Canadohta Lake continues to inspire residents and visitors for years to come.

This year, your support is helping us transform our History Center into a destination for learning and discovery. We are creating engaging museum exhibits, replacing flooring damaged after frozen pipes burst last winter, and continuing the cataloging and preservation of thousands of historical artifacts, photographs, and documents. Donations also support meaningful community programs, including our annual Quilts of Valor Presentation honoring local veterans, and the restoration and dedication of our historic 1876 Centennial Bell in celebration of America's 250th anniversary. This treasured bell, cast during our nation's Centennial, serves as a powerful link between the 100th and 250th anniversaries of our country's founding and stands as a lasting symbol of our shared heritage. Every gift, large or small, helps keep the history of Canadohta Lake alive for generations to come.
