At the French Creek Council, we believe every young person has the
potential to be a Scout, and every Scout deserves the chance to experience the
wonder of camping and the outdoors.

Each summer, Scouts from across Northwestern Pennsylvania pack up their
gear and head to our incredible camp, Custaloga Town Scout Reservation. For
many, it’s their first time sleeping under the stars, hiking a trail, or
discovering the thrill of archery or campfire storytelling. It’s more than just
fun, it’s life-changing.

In today’s world, young people are surrounded by screens, noise, and
pressure. Scouting gives them the chance to unplug from the digital world
and reconnect with nature, with others, and with themselves. Whether
they’re building a fire, learning a new skill, or leading their first group
hike every moment is a step toward confidence, independence, and lifelong
values.

Through Scouting, we empower youth through leadership development,
experiential learning, career exploration, and community impact. These
hands-on experiences don’t just prepare kids for the next adventure—they
prepare them for life.
