The mission at Second Harvest Food Bank is to provide food to those in need within the eleven counties of northwest Pennsylvania while creating awareness and educating the community on the realities of hunger.

At Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest Pennsylvania, we believe everyone deserves access to nutritious food. We work every day to connect neighbors with the food they need through a network of local food pantries and meal programs.

Together with our volunteers, donors, and partners, we're helping ensure everyone has access to the food they need to thrive. Every gift made during Erie Gives helps us continue providing nutritious food and supporting our community.

Our Programs:

Second Harvest Food Bank serves families, children, seniors, veterans, and individuals through a variety of programs designed to meet people where they are. These include Produce Express, Military Share, child feeding programs like BackPack, School Pantries, and Summer Feeding, the PA Senior Food Box Program, Healthy Pantry Initiative, Second Harvest Marketplace, and Food Rescue. Through these programs and a network of nearly 400 partner food pantries and meal programs, we work to support neighbors throughout our community.

In Erie County, 1 in 7 people and 1 in 5 children experience food insecurity.
