Help Me Support MCRC This Erie Gives Day!

MCRC is an organization that is near and dear to my heart. I believe deeply in its mission and in the difference it makes every day for refugees, immigrants, New Americans, and families throughout our Erie community.

For more than 50 years, MCRC has helped individuals and families build safe, stable, and self-sufficient lives. Its work extends far beyond someone’s first day in Erie. MCRC provides the education, guidance, resources, and encouragement people need as they work toward independence and a true sense of belonging.

Today, this work is more important than ever. Reductions in funding have placed vital programs at risk, including educational support for refugee youth. At the same time, the need for adult education, English-language learning, workforce preparation, citizenship education, civic engagement, immigration legal services, housing assistance, and family support continues to grow.

That is why I am raising funds for MCRC during Erie Gives 2026.

Your donation will help MCRC:

• Keep youth engaged and succeeding in school
• Provide English-language and adult education
• Prepare individuals for employment and self-sufficiency
• Support citizenship education and civic engagement
• Help families navigate immigration and social-service systems
• Connect people with housing, language access, and essential resources

These are more than programs. They are opportunities for people to learn, grow, work, contribute, and build brighter futures.
