With more than 300 women now on the waiting list, we are expanding our mentoring pipeline. Our Moms groups and Mentoring Circles are known to Moms from all walks of life as a “third space” where women and their families are valued, nourished, and counted as family. Gatherings provide free dinner, childcare, stories of hope and healing, education, donations, and access to expert resources. Moms groups, such as Moms Night Out, Mingle with Moms, and Mom&Me MeetUps, serve as low-barrier entry points while Mother Matters Mentoring Circles and the Good Friend Initiatives offer long-term opportunities that build skills, confidence, social capital, and pathways to upward mobility.

When you give to this fundraising campaign, you help us afford:

-Educational opportunities for our Peer Advisor Leadership Training Program, equipping Mothers from within the Erie City Moms community to use their lived experiences, wisdom, and compassion to help other Mothers feel seen, supported, connected, and achieve their goals

-Renting safe spaces in walkable neighborhoods where diverse Moms and kids feel that they belong

-Training for mentors and childcare volunteers to foster safety, belonging, and growth. Topics include social determinants of health, leadership, trauma-informed care, and Mental Health First Aid

-Wifi and tech to go live from event gatherings to 4,500 Facebook followers who aren't ready to--or who we can't fit yet--in person

-Purchasing tables and chairs for 100 Moms and mentors so we no longer have to rent this equipment!

-Increasing to our Basic Needs Fund that helps Moms with unexpected expenses, such as auto repairs, education-related costs, emergency rent, child care, as they are reaching toward their goals
