This fundraiser supports 3,150 hours of high-quality free child care and youth programming for up to 100 children ages 0–17. Each month, kids receive safe, enriching, supportive care while their Mothers participate in Mother Matters Mentoring Circles.

This investment provides early intervention-centered, trauma-informed care for children 0-5, affording opportunities for individualized attention and monitoring for developmental delays- critical for success in pre-k and elementary school.

As children age out of classes with our early intervention team, they will engage in STEM/STEAM-based play and gym time, led by Erie City Moms' trauma-informed, relationship-based volunteers--for kids up to 5th grade

Youth 5th grade and older participate in personal development with mentors, where they focus on growing in areas related to how they treat themselves and others, a critical topic for today's young leaders. Youth will engage in conversations about perception, identity, active listening, expressing one's thoughts in a healthy and respectful manner, empathy, and resilience.

This totals 3,150 hours of high-quality free child care provided in tandem with local experts and trauma-informed volunteers so Moms can connect, learn, and grow alongside their peers. Because the same volunteers faithfully serve at each event, children and families come to know and trust the full team over time, creating a sense of safety, consistency, and belonging that strengthens the impact of the program.

The childcare team does more than supervise children—they build genuine relationships with families and become part of the caring community that makes Erie City Moms accessible, restorative, and transformative.
